Z ALCOHOL - No, stop. But let's be real. If you must drink, then try to cut back. Liquor contains far less carbs than wine or beer. AVOCADO - Good, eat. BEANS - Good, eat. Make bean salad or whatever. There are many different types of beans, so experiment. BREAD - No, stop. No bread, rolls, pastry, or anything made with white flour. But whole wheat bread is ok. BLUEBERRIES- Good, eat. Great, but make sure they're fresh. BUTTER - No, stop. No butter or margarine. Use olive oil instead. Use olive oil for cooking and salad dressing. CEREAL - Good, eat. But avoid cereal with added sugar. Try "Uncle Sam" cereal. CHICKEN - Good, eat. Great for you. Cook it any way you want. Just don't bread it! CINNAMON - Good, eat. This is a spice. FOODcccccccc EGGS - Good, eat. But not the yolks, just egg whites. If you boil eggs, scoop out the yolks and throw them away. Eat the whites. FISH - Good, eat. But get it fresh. Pan fry, bake, broil, poach. Whatever. FRUIT - Good, eat. But make sure it's fresh. Wash fruit before eating because you don't know if it's been sprayed with anything. GARLIC - Good, eat. Chop or crush and use in cooking. Or roast it and add to your dishes. MILK - Good, drink. But use 1% milk not whole milk or cream. MUSTARD - Good, eat. OATS - Good, eat. Eat them raw or cooked. If you cook them with milk use 1% milk. And there are many types of oats other than the "instant" variety. OLIVE OIL - Good, eat. Use it for salad dressing and all cooking. Use the real thing, full flavor extra virgin olive oil - it's very tasty. There are hundreds of
different olive oils to pick from. Experiment. Walnut oil is also good, try
it. PASTA - No, stop. But let's be real. If you must then no more than once a month. But when you eat you can eat the real thing. PEANUT BUTTER & JELLY SANDWITCH - Good, eat. Remember to use whole wheat bread not white bread. POTATO - No, stop. And that includes fried, baked, boiled, mashed etc. They're all potato! RED MEAT - No, stop. If you must, then just once a month. SALAD DRESSING - Good, eat. But make your own with olive oil. TOFU - Good, eat. Eat any way you want. You can even curry it. TUMERIC - Good, eat. This is a spice often used in Indian cooking. Curry powder contains tumeric. TURKEY - Good, eat. But make sure it's ground fresh turkey breast. Use it for burgers, meat balls, curry and more. WHITE FLOUR - No, stop. No bread, rolls, pastry, or anything made with white flour. YOGURT - Good, eat. But make sure it's non-fat or 2% Greek Yogurt.
